Center for Healthy Sex presents a lecture by Shereen Hariri, MFT: "Illustrating Trauma: Using the Trauma Egg to Reveal and Heal Your Past" "The Sex Experts" is a monthly professional lectures series for sex therapists and specialists to workshop and refine new material that they've been working with in an informal setting before their peers. Lecture Description: All human beings have experienced some kind of trauma, and many of us remain stuck in that trauma, unable to move forward with healthy relationships, sexuality, and intimacy. The Trauma Egg©, created by Marilyn Murray, is designed to help us, clinicians and clients alike, to uncover those traumas and release them. In this lecture, attendees will: * Become acquainted with the concept of the Trauma Egg©, * Understand how it can benefit both clients and therapists, * Unpack how trauma manifests in various stages, including the Sobbing Child, the Controlling Child, and the Angry Rebellious Child, allowing us to guide clients to the Original Child. Shereen Hariri, MFT is one of a select number of clinicians directly trained and approved by Marilyn Murray, the creator of the Trauma Egg©, to utilize this therapy model in helping clients process trauma and effectively heal the past. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and sex therapist at Center for Healthy Sex, Shereen specializes in sex therapy and trauma issues.
